Hi, my name is Karen, and I am the "Neighborhood Navigator" for
the Professional Development "Neighborhood" of Virginia's
Community of Learning (VCOL). I also have developed a lot of the content
featured on this site as VCOL Spotlights. See if you can identify what
I have created!
As Neighborhood Navigator, I am responsible for reviewing and
maintaining all content found in the Professional Development Neighborhood
of our Directory. I
start with submissions from visitors just like yourself and using my
knowledge of the structure of our Community and knowledge of the "Virginia
Standards of Learning" (Virginia SOLs), I review and index each
resource submitted
to my Branch. Submissions (aka Resources) are indexed so that they can
be retrieved by Keyword and Categories (Subject, and Sub-Neighborhood
branches) as well as by specific Virginia SOL headings and more general
Virginia
SOL
areas.
